Nursery

Our nursery provision continues to be a huge success of the school. We are indeed very proud of what we are able to offer, led by our skilled team of professionals. We are delighted to be able to continue will a full 30hr weekly, term-time provision.

Our nursery children join our Reception pupils to have fun and enjoy a range of wonderful learning experiences in the classroom and in our fantastic outdoor learning space that is constantly being updated and refreshed.

For further information please take a look at our ‘Welcome to Nursery Brochure’ using the link below or contact the school office. Please note that we prefer children to attend twice a week as a minimum, this can be either full days, half days or a mix of the two. Please seek advice from school regarding your options.

We would welcome the opportunity to take you on a tour of our school and see our Nursery in action, so please contact us if that would be of interest.

Our nursery provision is very well attended and very popular and as a consequence, we may need to close or restrict admissions in any one year; if we anticipate having limited spaces available. Applications for Easter 2025 are now being processed and allocated, so please get in touch if you are looking for that availability. Applications for a place is September 2025 will open after the Easter holidays and  will be allocated using admissions criteria if oversubscribed. Please apply now for an autumn admission if your child has turned three years, or will be three by 1st September 2025. We will accept official applications only, using the application form below. In the event that demand exceeds availability for sessions, the school will follow the Local Authority Nursery Admissions Policy as below. After the late May 25 half term, we will get in touch with all parents with an offer for September, where an application has been made.

If your child’s attendance exceeds their allocated, funded hours, we may be able to offer additional hours on a paid basis; the charge is currently £18 per session.

Parents need to be aware that in being allocated a place at the Levens Nursery, there is still the requirement to apply for an official Reception school place via the local authority each January for a September start. Parents also need to be aware that the published admission number for Levens CE School reception places is set by the local authority and is currently 15 pupils.
