Bowfell’s Snowman Calendar

This week, Bowfell have been making a larger-than-life calendar! As you can see, it is a very big snowman who has windows full of kind deeds and ways to spread a little happiness this festive season.   The art work and ideas for our ‘acts of kindness’ have all been independently created by children in Bowfell Class.

Advent Ring

Pam came into school on Wednesday carrying lots of boxes full of materials to make Advent Rings. Our ring has four candles, one for each of the four Sundays until Christmas. We will light them in school as we count down too.

The children also made Mrs Coker and Mrs Farraday special individual candles arrangements.

Thank you to Eco Team, School Council members and a few extra volunteers in Skiddaw class who worked with Pam and, of course, thanks to Pam for providing all the resources and giving her time.

Making soup to sell!

We made delicious tomato soup to sell at the Christmas Fair last Friday. We remembered to use our claw grip and bridge grip when cutting up all the vegetables. The onions were strong and made some of us cry! The wonderful smell drifted through school and made everyone hungry.

We hope you enjoyed eating our soup!
